What if?

Standing on the edge of a cliff
Her only question was "What if?
What if I jump now,
And take a final bow? "
She leaned over the cliff's edge,
Before leaving she'd make one last pledge:
That if she got another chance
She wouldn't be afraid to dance.
As she took a deep breath in
She heard the softest words: "Lift your chin."
She stopped and turned but saw no one.
"My child, turn to me and run."
Taking a step back in complete amazement,
On her knees she fell, head bent,
"What if I fail and disappoint you?"
"My child, in me you will be made new."
