Hurricane

Updated: Mar 29, 2020

Dark clouds creeping up ahead, They bring with them a look of doom. Making some seek cover under a bed; Till stopping above, they loom. Then the rain starts pouring down, The streets everywhere begin to flood. Most flee for fear they might drown; And sit waiting for that dreadful thud. A flash of light is almost blinding. Then BOOM! CRACK! the thunder goes, The trees around themselves are winding. Those everywhere suddenly froze. Then out of the darkness there comes a light; A small peace from all the wreckage. They look around at the dreadful sight, Hoping somewhere there is a message. Our lives are much like a hurricane; Swirling chaos to take us off course, Without foundations we'd go insane. Our troubles seek to remove us with force. But in that chaos, peace can be found; You need only look inside yourself, Our hearts and souls for which He crowned, Will always bring us to Himself.
